Marco Paulo Ribeiro Rolla (São Domingos do Prata MG 1967). Multi-disciplined artist, painter, draftsman, sculptor, with an emphasis on 
his experiment in the field of performance. In 1990, he graduated from the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) 
and, in the same year, participated in the Panorama de Arte Atual Brasileira, at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM / SP), and held the 
individual show of mixed technique drawings, Fatal Constructions, at the Palace of Arts in Belo Horizonte. He exhibits again at Panorama and also 
at the 12th National Salon of Plastic Arts, organized by the National Art Foundation (Funarte), Rio de Janeiro, in 1993. In 1989 and 1994, he received 
the acquisition prize of the National Salon of Plastic Arts. Receives a grant from the Vitae Foundation and support from the Ministry of Culture (MinC), 
lives at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam, from 1998 to 1999. In this Dutch institution, founded in the 18th century, which receives and
 supports artists from all over the world, where Rolla performs the performances Comfortables and Objects of Desire. It diversifies the technique of its 
production, as shown, in 2000, in the exhibition E da Volúpia do Desejo à Simplicidade da Morte. In the following year, he participated in the creation 
and became coordinator of the Center for Experimentation and Art Information (Ceia), where he produced the Banquet performance in 2003. Presents the
 performance O Visível e Invisível at the Arco 08 art fair in Madrid, 2008. Master in Arts at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG in 2006. He works in the field
 of dance and theater, carrying out numerous projects, many of them awarded scenarios. and costumes since 1987.

He held solo exhibitions in Brazil, Germany, Argentina and the Netherlands. Participated in group exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro;
 Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo; Rohrbach Zement, Dotternhausen, Germany; Muu Gallery, Helsink, Finland; and at Foundazione Pistoletto, Italy. 
Participated in the Performance program of the 29 Bienal de São Paulo, 2010. And in 2015 participated in the Terra Comunal exhibition curated by
 Marina Abramovic SESCSP. Winner of the Acquisition Award for the FUNARTE National Salon, Rio de Janeiro and the Edgard Gunther Painting Award from the 
Museum of Contemporary Art in São Paulo. His works are found in collections such as the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo, Instituto ITAU Cultural of
 São Paulo, Art Museum of Pampulha of Belo Horizonte, Centro Cultural Inhotim, Brumadinho and FUNARTE of Rio de Janeiro. As a performer he has stood out
 participating in festivals in Brazil and abroad. As coordinator of CEIA - he held, among other events, the position of curator of MIP - International 
Performance Demonstration, 2003 and 2009. Since 2013 he has been the performance curator of Memorial Minas Vale. He has been a professor at the 
Guignard UEMG school since 2009, where he created the discipline of Performance and is the advisor and curator of the Perplexed Performance Show. 
He also acted as an adviser in the classes of specialization in Painting at the same institution.
