In Context : Public.Art.Ecology

The first In Context: public.art.ecology residency commenced at the beginning of March. The artists (from India, Germany, Japan and the USA) projects focus on interventions in the public sphere. The curatorial intent underlying the residency focuses on the dialogic aspect of the artists thematics and interventions.

Projects range from mapping weather patterns and the effects of climate change on local communities, to an interactive video sculpture examining the signification of trees in the context of road zones, designing a tableaux that will interact with people with questions around conservation, building a natural biological water purification system and one final project that traces the paths of people and their constitutive objects from Chandni Chowk to Gurgaon.

Live weather at Khoj. Check this page for real time weather conditions around Khoj. This is part of a global weather network by Andrea Polli & Chuck Varga called Hello Weather.

Artists talks are scheduled at 5 pm on the 12th, 19th, 26th of March at the FICA Reading Room.

The open day of the residency is scheduled from the 8th of April 2010.
