IFA Curatorial Program
As part of a four-year curatorship program conceptualised by India Foundation for the Arts, Bangalore, KHOJ hosted a Curatorial Residency for two unique artists, in September 2010. These artists presented their curated works in January 2011.
Tracing a Human Trail: Metaphors of the Frontiers, Curated by Oindrilla Maity.
This exhibition is a curatorial venture based on a community that migrated to the outskirts of Kolkata to a town called Asoknagar, this community survived the riots in Bangladesh and later onto Delhi. The exhibition touches upon issues of migration, memory, private and public spaces with visual, textual and aural elements.
Shikaar: The Hunt, Curated by Gitanjali Dang
Following the human race’s prehistoric occupation with hunting and gathering, Shikaar: The Hunt plays on the new strain of hunters and gathers who stalk the malls.
For the hunt, various artworks were scattered across the mall site. Clue maps guided the participants to the artworks.
