Curatorship Program 2010
KHOJ International Artist’s Association hosted a Residency program for young curators as part of the four-year curatorship program conceptualised by the India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) in collaboration with select institutions across the country. This was the first in a series of projects that KHOJ undertook as the model centre to facilitate curatorial practice in the visual arts.
The Residency aimed to establish a model of practice-based training for curators. The selected resident curators benefited from the support and network of art practitioners that have been associated with KHOJ. Being the first of its kind the residency aimed to develop a training ground for emerging curators to engage with various modes of artistic practice as well as being actively involved in critical writing.
Gitanjali Dang and Oindrilla Maity were selected from amongst several applicants by a jury comprising of art critic Geeta Kapur and artist Anita Dube.
