Mahavir Singh Bisht is a Documentary Photographer, Writer & Editor with extensive
experience in Development Sector. He graduated from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia,
New Delhi, and is the Founder and Co-Editor for Kihrkee Voice/ Khirkee Awaaz, a
Community Arts initiative in the form of a bi-lingual quarterly newspaper supported by
Khoj International Artists’ Association, New Delhi. He is currently involved in developing
‘India in Photobook’ an Independent Project that examines the form of the Photobook
through exhibitions, workshops and other programs. He is a visiting faculty of
Development Journalism and Visual Storytelling at AJK MCRC Jamia Millia Islamia &
Pearl Academy, Delhi.
