Khyati Saraf is a landscape designer based in Brooklyn, NY with interests at the intersection of media, ecology and public space. Born and brought up in New Delhi, she is a careful observer, particularly attuned to the role of media and culture on landscape and public space dynamics. She is a member of the design collective LANDKunst and a co-founder of Bil-kul, an architecture and landscape design practice working at scales from the domestic to the regional. In 2017 she was the Metro Manila Civic Innovation Fellow, travelling to Manila to work with the local city government to bring issues of flooding, ecology and civic engagement to the fore.

She currently practices as a Senior Landscape Designer at Future Green Studio. At Future Green she is a project manager, leading several residential, mixed-use and public space projects of varying sizes. With a wide range of skills and experience in all phases of design, Khyati has successfully lead design teams on competitions and RFP’s at the studio.

Through Bil-kul, Khyati independently participates with other co-founders on compelling global landscape competitions, most recently winning an honorable mention for the Babyn Yar Necropolis International Competition in Kiev, Ukraine where her work was exhibited. She is also a freelance writer and researcher.

Khyati earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture of Sushant School of Art and Architecture, New Delhi.
