Khoj International Artists’ Association and Kooshk Residency present a new exchange program between Tehran and New Delhi for an Indian and Iranian visual artist. This exchange program exists out of two parts. The first part is held from 7-30 April, 2016 in Tehran, Iran.

In those three weeks, the Indian artist has the opportunity to work in Tehran, Iran and collaborate with the Iranian artist. The space will be open to a local public of artists, students, and art critics. The program will end with a presentation and a panel discussion.

The second part will be held from 1-21 July, 2016 in New Delhi, India. The same Indian and Iranian artists will participate in the second part. There will be a presentation and a panel discussion at the end as well. The application is open for visual artists from India and Iran, interested in site-specific practices and the socio-cultural context of India and Iran. Applicants have to be interested in exchanging ideas and consider the participation in both parts of the projects. Applicants will be evaluated by a committee of the organizers mentioned above and will be informed by e-mail.

The program for Indian artist includes: accommodation and studio space for three weeks in Tehran that will be provided by Kooshk Residency. The artist will be in position to cover the expenses for airfare, insurance, medical coverage for the duration of the program, any visa fee which should be incurred and the living expenses such as travel and food.
