AVAM (Associated Visual Artists of Madrid) invites proposals for a competition to select eight artistic projects to be developed during the second half of 2008.
Recipients will be awarded a maximum amount of 6.000 euros for the production of the art project, plus 3.000 euros as honorarium to cover the
making of the work and the author's rights.
Artists of any nationality may participate, regardless of age. Participants must present an original and unpublished project (It may

This one semester course in ideas and concepts, deals with visual theory and visual art production in the various spheres of our cultural life, through the disciplines of art, photography and architecture. The course will run for 14 – 16 weeks every year.
It will commence on August 26, 2008, and run on every Tuesday and Thursday between 6:00 and 8:30 pm.It will be conducted in the premises of Jnanapravaha (Mumbai) at Queens Mansion, 3rd Floor, A. K. Nayak Marg, Fort, Mumbai 400 001.
Fee and Admissions:
The total fee for the course, including reading material and library reference fee, will be Rs. 10,000/- per participant.
The admissions to the course for this year will close on July 7, 2008.
The course is open to graduates from any discipline.

 African Community of Arts Educators (AfriCOAE) is inviting
 applications for its 2-week workshop residency for art educators and
 teaching artists at a suburb of Accra in Ghana, from the 17th until
 the 31st of July 2008. The program is organised in a number of special
 laboratory sessions for Environmental Immersion, breakout-team and
 independent practice to explore for ecological materials and test
