Opportunities at Khoj

KHOJ ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE

Khoj curates and hosts themed residencies, exhibitions and projects throughout the year. Many of these are part of ongoing programs, more information about which is available here (hyperlink to projects page) . For most programs, an open call for applications is put out through our website, inviting serious proposals. Please keep checking the ‘Opportunities‘ page of the Khoj website for the latest information in this regard.

For participants invited or selected for a residency, Khoj provides artists’ studios, accommodation and expenses for production. We also give a small per-diem to cover some of the living expenses. The traveling expenses are covered depending upon the funds available for a residency.

Artists are encouraged to raise funding to cover their residency in New Delhi. Khoj is committed to raise funds for artists from the developing World and from countries that lack funding structures.

KHOJ ASSOCIATE RESEDENCIES

Khoj welcomes independent applications and proposals from creative practitioners, particularly those interested in interdisciplinary and experimental practice. Artists working in all media are invited to send in proposals. Since we have limited resources all applications cannot be realized. Only short listed proposals will be reviewed by Khoj. Due to a large number of emails that we receive, we might not be able to reply immediately to all enquiries .

Artists are encouraged to raise funding to cover their residency in New Delhi, including the costs of accommodation, studio rental, travel and local living expenses. Khoj will be able to provide independent and associate residents with support in local networking and facilitation, including access to our in-house facilities and services.

INTERNSHIPS & FELLOWSHIPS

The Khoj Internship and Fellowship Program is designed to encourage young creative practitioners and students from diverse backgrounds to develop their skills and learn by participating in various Khoj programs.

Khoj Interns are often assigned during residencies and they are expected to support and facilitate the requirements of the artist and learn through the process of hands-on interaction and work. Khoj Fellowships are open to more mature applicants with some experience of working with an arts organization, and with a dedicated commitment towards participating in Khoj programs.

This programme is open to all Indian and International students/ individuals interested in the arts. All interns receive a stipend for the duration of the project.

Please note the minimum duration for a Khoj Internship is 1 month, and 3-6 months for a Khoj Fellowship.

Application may be emailed to applications@khojworkshop.org. with the subject line ‘Intern / Fellow’ and  must include an updated C.V and a letter of intent. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
