Home grown organic vegetables: The new fashion in Urban Bourgeoisie

Again, as we discussed Commodification of Organics and Green Farming, especially in Urban centers, here’s another addition.

Smartly packed, certified and labeled organic vegetables planted and potted, ready to be shipped home and start giving veggies. I saw this new section recently at the large Truffaut store near our house. It is not something out of the blue, but still astonishing to notice, how fast market appropriates everything which resists it. I mean, the organic and home grown movement started in the first place as a protest against Industrial food chains, where the consumer was kept hostage to the supply chain of the Market.
