The unpainted brick arches pretending to be partitions gave us the way in to the studio. In the middle there is a greenish courtyard where the artist had collected objects for her future work. An array of books adorn the corners of the floor. The Studio was live with her ongoing works as well as her works in progress. The artist engaged with us talking about her works from ‘Blood wedding’ to present breezing through moments of conception of the works, the philosophy behind each creative attempt. The discussion included several issues like the artists family background to her days in Baroda (as part of the Baroda Radicals Group). With couple of beers in the hot Delhi summer Anita treated the peers 07 more by visiting their studios. She interacted with all the peers and discussed about their upcoming works giving ideas and passing criticism while boosting their enthusiasm.
