Takehito Kogenezawa
The Associate Residency with Takehito Kogenezawa, Michael Peter Cain and Sushanta Mondal has started as the weather in Delhi is changing for the better. The artists are settling down and doing the usual pilgrimage to Old Delhi and Kotla.Meanwhile Takehito Kogenezawa’s show open at the National gallery of Modern Art on Friday the 12th of October.

The flurry of activities at KHOJ studios has begun with visits from Steven Madoff (critic in painting/printmaking at Yale University, USA) and Tomoko Muroiwa (Assistant Curator Mori Art Museum, Japan).
Steven Henry Madoff in 1997 published Pop Art: A Critical History with University of California Press. He is at work on a new book on interdisciplinary art.

Protest meeting on the lawns of Rabindra Bhavan, Mandi House, New Delhi on Monday, 14th May, at 6 pm to mark the arts community's anguish at repeated violations of cultural freedoms, the most recent being the violent assault on the young Baroda artist Chandramohan. Sai SweetaThis is when the “demolition drive” has hit home. Sai Sweets, the favorite eatery that provides sustenance to the staff and artists at Khoj has had to shut down. All the artists who have ever worked/been at Khoj are familiar with the sumptuous, yet affordable home/office delivered food of Sai Sweets. Over the years and innumerable meals we developed great affinity with this neighborhood food joint.

Grant KesterGrant Kester visited the Khoj studios on the 31st of March. It was a 4 hour discussion that was both extremely inspiring and invigorating.Grant is the Associate Professor of Art History and Coordinator of the Ph.D. Program in Art and Media History at the University of California , San Diego.
