A new series of Photographs on feeling food

In January while being in India, i was missing the feel of culture in more ways then one can define visually or textually. I went round and round, not knowing how to grab it, how to touch it, because i would be away for a long time hence forth. Then suddenly while being in a crowded market on the banks of Brahmaputra, in Guwahati, the chance arrived. One of the missing feeling was the touch of food. Suddenly all memories and senses of a long time, came alive, coming from small towns we have grown up going to local kirana shops and touching, tossing, smelling, pressing, almost tasting our daily food. And it is still very much a practice even in Urban India, quite opposite to European and America super-markets.

Below is one of the photos from the series and some more are at: http://aulinjaadelhi.blogspot.fr/2014/03/food-in-my-hands-ongoing-series-of.html
